About us

Detail, the ‘real’ store, opened at the end of November 2008.
For my partner Chris and I, DETAIL is the accumulation of many years involved in design in one way or another. We met at college where we were both studying different aspects of art and design.
His path led him into Architectural Blacksmithing, amongst other things and I managed an art and crafts gallery for 12 years alongside creating my own artwork. When the opportunity came up for a store of our own, it was too good to miss.
It has given us a platform to share our interests in good design with you.
Hopefully we can offer you something you may have never seen before, along with some of those things you might have seen before and admired or perhaps even wished for.
We continue developing our ideas and this year we will be introducing our own 'inhouse' DETAIL range of products.
